"Septic Tank Additive" (further called as Additive) is all-natural Bio-nutrient that has been designed to super-activate the naturally occurring bacteria found in every septic tank.  Bacteria that have this product available to them will multiply faster and grow larger.
This enables the bacteria population to break down the organic solids in the septic tank faster and more completely.  This accelerated breakdown will clean and empty the septic tank, as well as field lines going out from the tank.  It will also help clean the lines between the toilet and the septic tank.
The septic system will become more efficient, cleaner, and should not require an expensive pumping out.  A clean, efficient septic system will not require repair and should have a much longer, usable service lifetime.
Additive also prevents bacteria from producing sulfide gases (rotten egg smell), and thus reduces or eliminates the dangerous gases that produce most sewer odors.
Please note that bacteria can only breakdown ORGANIC material.  Dirt, sand, plastics, Styrofoam, and such will not be affected by, nor cleaned up by treatment.  Avoid flushing plastic articles, trash, toys, etc. down your toilet.
For more detailed information on how Accelerator works, see the Data Sheet  “HOW ADDITIVE WORKS”.
Additive comes in a quart bottle, with a dry powder mixture in it.  This makes it easy to ship and handle.
When you receive the quart bottle:
Add one quart of water.
Shake well – until all the powder is in solution.   Use of warm water will make this quicker.  This may take a minute or so.
APPLICATION
Tighten the lid to the main section of the bottle.
Loosen the lid to the small section of the bottle
Gently squeeze the bottle until the liquid fills the small section to the one-ounce mark.

Directions for use:

We recommend that you use the Additive First Strike Emergency package to clean your septic tank if it filled with solids and in need or close need of being pumped out.
If immediate cleanout is not required, use one once per day of the Additive for the first six days
Measure and pour the one-ounce treatment directly into the toilet, then flush.
After the initial clean out treatments add one ounce once per week in the same manner. This quart bottle will last six months.

Please take all the usual precautions when handling this or any liquid product.

How ADDITIVE Works

There are many types of bacteria found in organic waste.  They utilize their environment in different manners for energy and building materials, needed for growth and reproduction.  Most of these bacteria can be either anaerobic (no oxygen) or aerobic (with oxygen) and are called facultative.

In the presence of sufficient oxygen, these bacteria will be aerobic.   In the aerobic form no sulfides are generated, and no odors are present.  The corrosion associated with hydrogen sulfide is eliminated.  Therefore, oxygen must continually be added to maintain this condition.

Less than 9 parts per million of oxygen can be dissolved in water, thus air must be continually bubbled through the waste or the bacteria will quickly become anaerobic.   In the anaerobic form bacteria generate sulfides.  These sulfide compounds cause most of the bad odors associated with organic waste and will corrode metal and dissolve concrete.

ADDITIVE provides a practical and economical alternative by supplying oxygen in a chemical form rather than mechanically. This allows the facultative bacteria to become and remain aerobic.   This effectively eliminates sulfide production and prevents odors from existing.  This treats the cause instead of the symptom and is far superior to simply trying to mask or absorb the odors.

ADDITIVE has the added advantage of preventing odors for extended periods of time.   There is virtually unlimited oxygen made available by utilizing ADDITIVE.   One treatment can keep the bacteria aerobic for days or even weeks.

Aerobic bacteria are more active and efficient than anaerobic bacteria. ADDITIVE effects aerobic bacteria in ways no other compounds do.  The ADDITIVE treated bacteria will consume up to 400% more organic solids, the population will increase and be healthier and faster, without the production of odors.

ADDITIVE is not, nor does it contain enzymes.  It is not a biocide and does not contain formaldehyde or chlorine.

ADDITIVE is an environmentally friendly, biodegradable, non-toxic, non-hazardous product.  The ingredients used to make ADDITIVE are all safe. In fact they can all be found in food preparations.

ADDITIVE is a cost effective, convenient, and efficient method to eliminate odors and reduce solids.

Lagoon Additive (further referred to as "L-Additive" is a patented multi-function formulation that can economically reduce solids and eliminate odors in organic waste lagoons.   It contains no formaldehyde, enzymes, or other potentially harmful chemicals. L-additive comes in a one-pound solid, BLUE block, which makes it extremely easy to ship, store, and apply.  Being ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, it is a NATURAL and non-hazardous product.
For more detailed information on how L-Additive works, see the Data Sheet entitled “HOW Lagoon Additive WORKS”.

ADVANTAGES OF Lagoon Additive (L-Additive)

L- Additive  is easy to ship, store, and apply since it is a solid brick.  This means there is no need to purchase or maintain costly pumps or other equipment.
L-Additive educes solids by activating the natural bacteria aerobically, inducing them to consume more organic solids.
L-Additive is effective even where low levels of biocides such as iodine, sodium hypochlorite, and formaldehyde have been used, provided some active bacteria are left alive.
In animal waste lagoons L-Additive eliminates the need for costly dredging.
Reduces or eliminates pump and sprinkler plugging problems for land applications.
Leaves out going fluids cleaner, with less organic solids.
Will not harm fish or other aquatic life in lakes or streams where effluent is legally disposed.

APPLICATION

BATCH TREAT THE LAGOON FOR INITIAL CLEANING:

Calculate the size and volume of the lagoon to be treated.
We can provide a program that calculates the estimated volume of a lagoon.
Example – a lagoon that is 150 feet long, 100 feet wide, and 10 feet deep, with slanted sides will contain an estimated about 950,000 gallons.

Visually gage the lagoon for “solid content”:

Top is all water and few or no solids are visible – LIGHT TO MEDIUM
Top has a lot of visible solids, but there is still some areas of water showing – MEDIUM TO HEAVY
Top of lagoon is virtually all solids, looking like a mud flat – HEAVY

For the first Initial cleanup treatment, use a weekly treatment of:

For a Light to Medium solid content – use 12 blocks per million gallons of lagoon volume.
For a Medium to Heavy solid content – use 20 blocks per million gallons.
For a Heavy solid content – use 30 blocks per million gallons.

Larger quantity can be used for faster results – there is no danger of OVER TREATING.

Once treatment levels have been determined, choose one or more spots of water where the blocks can sink and then simply pitch the blocks out.  All blocks can go into one location, the treatment will spread OR the treatment can go into several different spots – using at least 4 blocks per location.
When the blocks are thrown into the water they will sink to the bottom and dissolve rapidly.
The treatments should continue once each week until the solids have been reduced to the desired level.

MAINTENANCE TREATMENT:

It is preferable that Lagoon additives be added to the lagoon once or twice per month, depending on the volume of waste being add regularly.
Use 6 or 8 blocks per 1 million gallons for each treatment, throwing them into the water as before.
